The 2 sorts of social media tools I prefer are:
1. Blogs about books:
This is to be used as an appetizer for potential readers to 'invite' them to read certain books. We still want them to come into the library to browse and borrow and not just to interact online!
2. Social networking:
Not just for information about the library and links, but to 'ramp up' interactions with staff online and to advertise library events to get the community to visit the library - see what can be done to minimise slowing enthusiasm for library visits.
